Install on Windows

Kairos runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit).

Install

1. Download the latest Windows installer (.msi or .exe).
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts.
3. Launch Kairos from the Start menu.

Grant microphone access

Kairos asks for microphone access the first time you start a service.

1. When prompted, click Yes to grant access.
2. If you missed the prompt, open Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone and turn on the switch next to Kairos.

Microphone access is required for live transcription.

Allow Kairos through the firewall

When you go on-air the first time, Windows Defender Firewall may ask which networks Kairos can use. Tick Private networks so your switcher can discover Kairos on the local network.

Verify the install

On first launch, Kairos shows the dashboard with the live transcript on the left, the detections panel in the middle, and the queue and preview on the right. You're ready to walk through your first service.
